Refund policy

This Returns & refund policy applies to orders placed through the Kvarter Oy online store for delivery within Finland and the European Union. We comply with applicable EU consumer protection legislation and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), takes possession of the product or, in the case of an order consisting of multiple deliveries, the final item.

2. Exercising Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us of your decision by sending a clear statement via email or by returning the withdrawal form included with your order.

You may also use the EU standard withdrawal form, although this is not mandatory.

3. Return Conditions

  • The product must be returned within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal.
  • The product must be unused, in its original condition, and packaged appropriately for safe transport.
  • You may inspect the product as you would in a physical retail store. However, if the product has diminished in value due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, or functionality, we may deduct the corresponding amount from your refund.

4. Return Shipping Costs

If the product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping costs.

Please note that the return shipping costs for large furniture items may be substantial and are determined according to the applicable carrier's pricing.

5. Refunds

We will refund all payments received from you, including the original standard delivery costs (excluding any additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than our least expensive standard option), within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal.

However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or you have provided satisfactory proof that it has been returned, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed.

6. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Products made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalized products.
  • Products that have been permanently installed or assembled, or products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once their protective packaging has been opened.

7. Exchanges

You may exchange a product for the same or another available product, subject to availability.

All exchanges are processed in accordance with this Returns & Cancellation Policy.
